This course is designed to help students work toward a bandscore 7.0+. It covers highlevel academic/general vocabulary looking at the more unusual and colourful language used by native speakers - including idioms, expressions and collocation.
The course also provides a good overview of the grammar structures needed to show a high level in the speaking and writing exam, including conditionals (mixed), elliptical and inverted sentences among others. The listenings and readings are challenging and some even seem to be harder than the actual exam. The course is heavily supplemented with extra self-study material and class activities which focus on developing communication skills suitable for the exam (but also useful for later study and living in Australia).
The course will include a 1-to-1 with the teacher to assess learning needs and strengths and weaknesses and to allow for time to request changes to the course.
